Dade Murphy (Jonny Lee Miller) is arrested by the US Secret Service for writing a computer virus and is banned from using a computer until his 18th birthday. Years later, he and his new-found friends, Kate Libby (Angelina Jolie), Joey Pardella (Jesse Bradford) and Emmanuel Goldstein (Matthew Lillard) discover a plot to unleash a dangerous computer virus, but they must use their computer skills to find the evidence while being pursued by the Secret Service and the evil computer genius behind the virus.

otsoNY Comments: Although the HQ of the Ellingson Mineral Corporation appears to be One Liberty Plaza at 1 Liberty Street and Broadway, the interior is that of the Lloyd’s Building at 1 Lime Street in London. The internationally-renowned Lloyd’s building was designed by the architect Richard Rogers and took eight years to build. 33,510 cubic meters of concrete, 30,000 square metres of stainless steel cladding and 12,000 square metres of glass were used during the construction.
